Ok, first, just let me make it clear that I am not a foot taller than Mr. JO. I'm kneeling on my knees in that first photo, and he looks rather puny, but he's not dag nag bit! He's a grown man! Now on to more important business - how we rang in the new year!
New Years Eve with two kids couldn't have been more thrilling. The college days and the exhilaration of will-I-kiss-somebody-tonight got nothing on our evenin' shindig. First, we spent the day at IKEA. The best way to welcome in a new year is to move to a new home, right?! Keys are in hand to our new (well, new to us) condo. So to IKEA we went and hunted down some new stuff. That night we partook of some delish fish, courtesy of chef moi, and kicked off the bash with some sparkling cider, blow horns and bubbles! Our gang then moved on to totally destroy our resolutions of good health at one of those weigh-in yogurt places. The after-party continued when the kids went to bed as Jared and I played a humorous game of mad gab and turned down the sheets at 10:30. I don't think we've ever lasted til midnight our whole marriage. And we're both fine with that.
Happy 2013!
Wishing you all happiness and blessings in the year to come!
