who do I thank for this?

I need to thank whoever invented instagram. I love capturing and sharing all those moments that seem too minute to whip out the big slr, but precious/funny/beautiful/delicious enough that they need to be documented. All the above are little moments that captured my heart {or tastebuds :)} and make me so grateful for this life. Even when the two little babes get shots together. That is priceless.

***disclaimer: what is not captured in these photos are all the hard times. Like right now, when Evelyn has refused to nap multiple times over the past two weeks. Don't give up those 3 hr sleeptimes, little gal! I need that break now more than ever!

  4. Love seeing your IG pictures :-)
also you inspired me today, I went and got my flu shot (with out scotts help!) took Judah in his stroller. He was scared bc he thought he was going to get the shot then freaked out because he saw they were putting the needle in me. Needless to say the way you are able to do so much on your own with your hubby at work has inspired me :-)

Praying that the naps come back! I know I am disoriented when Judah skips his :-( Also a trick (not sure if it will work) but I will sometimes move up his naptime an hour. He fell asleep and slept 2-3 hours and would go back to his normal routine of 12 the next week.

  6. I can only imagine life with a newborn and a toddler refusing naps. My day turns so bad when my little one won't nap - and I only have the one! Love the photos, the double cry is great, even as painful as that moment probably was for you. Hopefully she picks napping back up soon!

  8. Bedtime has been torturous lately for us. If someone asked me to go to bed by 830-9. DONE AND DONE! I also want to thank the instagram inventor, them and the inventor of stickygrams. Oh I just loooove sticky grams. Please nap for mommy evelyn! Please with a cherry on top!

  10. my daughter went through a similar "no nap, mommy" phase. it is the worrrst.

we used a reward system, which was actually quite effective! : ]

before she went in to nap i told her that if she went to sleep like a big girl, i would have a surprise for her. the surprises consisted of a little notecard telling her how proud we were of her for napping like a big girl [with stickers of course] and a little treat [m&ms worked best for us but i'm sure anything sweet or fun will do.] i put it in a little ziploc. throughout the rest of the day, she would carry around the card, and i would reinforce the "coolness" of it and the reason she got it. i only needed to do it a few times and then she was back in the routine.

    it's not a fun process : /

best of luck to you...and her!

  13. what precious photos...I love the one of them crying together, I'm sure you weren't necessarily enjoying those moments, but it's real life for sure! as I sit here listening to Elyse fuss in her crib because she wants to get up and come play! I guess naptime is over for me this morning!
