one month.

I spent the other night looking through photos of Evelyn at this age, trying to spy any sibling resemblances and to refresh my mind of what we have coming up ahead in the next couple of weeks with Warner. Questions like "when will he start smiling?" and "was Evelyn this chunky?" were answered by flipping through memory lane. To my surprise, Evelyn had more hair to begin with than I had remembered. I know! Evelyn have hair? I dare say she {barely} did. Warner had a beautiful fauxhawk going on, until he decided to be an older gentleman and let it fall out on top, so we are working with a very receded hair line at the moment :) It's quite distinguished.

I'm looking forward to what month number two has to bring to the plate. I'm excited for the cooing and the grinning to start. I'm also excited to get this boy growing out of onesies and on to bigger, more stylish things :) I'm excited to see his daytime sleeping hours diminish and watch him take in more of this big beautiful world.

happy one month, son!

  1. I miss that small tiny baby look. I look at my almost 2 year old it just blows my mind that he was once this tiny.

I can't wait to see his stylish warddrobe.

p.s. I called Warner Wilson in my last comment. So sorry! I had just talked to a Wilson and got all mixed up. Sorry. :)

    1. Eh, no worries! He gets called so many other names other than Warner quite frequently actually. Mostly people think his name is Warren :)

  4. i may miss it now, but the first couple of months were really hard for me because, although I was bonding with rosie, i wished that I could have some kind of response from her, some sort of validation that I was doing an okay job. Once she started smiling and moving around a bit more my life changed completely! Just enjoy these days while you can because I know now that those days DO pass all too quickly. <3

  6. Absolutely precious. I vote your blog to have the best pictures I just love the style. I love you all on the bed. We did this one year for one of our Christmas pictures. We all piled on the bed in xmas pajamas and sent that out as our card it was super cute. I love the sign behind you all on the bed, it's perfect... Love,

  8. Look at those cheeks! So smooshy, I love chubba cheeks on babies.
All of mine were born with LOTS of hair, and then promptly lost it all within a couple of months and then took a while to grow back in.
