when sunny meets June

Monday, June 10, 2013

I feel like June has been rather gloomy in the atmosphere region of these parts. Which if I still lived in Santa Monica, I would have expected because fog always sits on the beach during the beginning of summer, but here in Virginia I'm ready to kiss the clouds goodbye! So on Saturday when the clouds finally parted in the afternoon, we quickly tossed on our suits, headed to the pool and gave that sunshine a big kiss hello!
Saturday evening my dad and sister flew in to spend the week with us! The kids gave them a warm welcome, literally, on Sunday with raging fevers. Womp, womp. But we're excited to have them here, nonetheless!

    1. Thanks Emily! And man, cloudy summers are such a bummer! And not cruel at all - those names will always be a ray of sunshine during any season :)
