one last time!

Friday, August 31, 2012

I got to see my boy one last time today before I officially welcome him into the world. The doc was concerned that he wasn't growing based upon my tummy measurements, so she sent me in for an ultrasound and he's weighing in a 7lbs 2 oz! He's doing just fine! I carry more into my back rather than a basketball outfront, hence my measurements being small. So that's good news!

Also, I am so excited that baby boy's nursery is being featured today over here! 2nd and Strand is a wonderfully unique design blog hosted by two incredible women, both whom I idolize and adore. Check it out!

Have a great LABOR day. {i kinda hope i do go into labor... ha ha, I kid... but mostly not kidding}

  6. Dear Kendra,

    I've just finished getting current with your blog. And I've missed it so much, it's so charming. I also read your post about you feeling a little down. You're a good woman. You'r honest but you are grateful. Having children, and a young family is not for the faint of heart. I could relate to much of what you were feeling. It's normal and you seem to be able to see outside of the feeling that can eat us up for the worse. I love the quote you used about our children being the "pearls we can't afford." I believe this with all of my heart. At the end of the day I could care very little what I own as long as I tried my best to love, nourish, develop talents and help my children to become successful, happy, helpful human beings. You're a doll. I am so happy for your little son to come to your family. It's so fun to see your belly, especially since mine has been gone! I wish you all the luck and will be reading regularly again. Sorry for being gone, been dealing with life. Take great care,

    Shauna

  7. I measured small as well and had lots of ultrasounds because of it (turns out baby was small and had to come early...) but it was so fun to be able to see him every week! So excited for you!

  8. Hi! Just found your blog. I'm 33 wks pregnant and have an ultrasound scheduled this Thrusday to check on the growth because the doctor thinks I'm measuring small--which is crazy because my belly is wayyy out there lol.
