at the end of Route 66...

You will find my heart.
I left it there a year ago on Wednesday when we moved cross-country.
Oh, Santa Monica, is there anything better than you?
Blue skies, palm trees swaying in the wind, evening campfires on the beach with friends,
those magnificent ferris wheel rides on the pier,
tasty eateries on Main St, bike rides in Venice, tan lines in January...
This video Jared and I made way back when just captures the trance you put us young lovers in.
We were/still are infatuated with you.
Until Christmas when we are re-united, stay classy San Diego Santa Monica!

  3. I get so much enjoyment from reading your blog! I usually just stick to beauty/fashion blogs, but I love love love reading yours. You are such an adorable family, I can't wait for your little boys arrival.

I visited LA in February (I live in England!), Santa Monica was one of my favourite places that I visited. I love the vibe, and obviously it's such a beautiful little seaside spot. I'd love to go back there one day, or at least go back to America!

  4. I didn't realize you used to live in Santa Monica. So did I!! Well, I went to school in Santa Monica (at Vidal Sassoon:), and I actually LIVED in Westwood, and then West Hollywood. I too just absolutely love it out there. I'm still trying to convince my husband to settle somewhere near, but he can't get over the cost of living. My heart definitely belongs on the West Coast though. There's just nothing like it. These photos make me miss it even more!!

  6. How fun. I've only been a couple times which is shameful since I lived an hour away my whole life. My husband almost took a job offer there, but then decided to take his current one here in the bay area. Your pictures make me want to visit there again!
